I'm becoming more curious about keto-adaptation by the day.
How does this work for lifting heavy weights?
How long does keto-adaptation take? I've heard that people have actually increased their muscle and strength, but it takes a while to adjust.
Would 2-3 months on a primarily carnivorous diet be enough to tell how I will feel on it?
I've gotten a lot of things sorted out, and I'm seriously considering a carnivorous way of eating. I just want to get my information together and know what to expect.

Alisa, my understanding is that keto-adaptation can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months. So I'd say there's a good chance you would be there in 2-3 months.
One can certainly increase muscle and strength on a primarily carnivorous diet. Take a look at Dan's journal. The amount of weight you can lift may intitially go down, because you won't have the glycogen that you used to, but I really don't think that matters at all. It's the amount of effort that you put forth, not the amount of weight that is used, that is important. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |
