Yes, I'm back on the Magic Bus! I don't remember which username I had when I was here before, but that doesn't matter, I think. I will start a journal right away so I don't need to repeat myself too much...
In a nutshell: I lost a lot of weight on ZC with restricted fat in 2006, and it stayed off till mid 2007. Then I had an awful experience with somebody I trusted - what's new - and started taking cream in my coffee again and had a piece of cheese now and then. That caused cravings but I didn't really notice, and I kept it reasonable, weight wise as well.
In 2008 I went on a working vacation for two months - in my motorhome, to the UK and Ireland - and had cream in my coffee every day and cheese every weekend. I also had mistakenly ground onion as seasoning instead of garlic but I only discovered this the other day!
That caused another weight gain and more cravings than I had realized so I fell for the theory that my metabolism could be cured by eating the "right" carbs. I gained 25 kilos in two months and the doctor kept saying it would all be right....
In April I did not fit on my bicycle anymnore and that's when I had enough. When I demanded to know from the doctor how long it would take before I would finally get down again, she got a bit pissed off and told me about 5 years!!! I can't afford that at my age so decided to go back on ZC.
I found another forum where I learnt a lot, there's a lot of info there, but I must admit I am not too crazy about some of the attitude that I come across there.
So... when I heard the Magic Bus is still going strong and the people here are more ... what shall I say... respectful? I decided to come back here and see if this will work!

WELCOME BACK WILLEKE!!!
i'm so glad to see you again. We will share this journey together as we are the same age and have the same problems with our metabolisms. We don't lose as fast as all those youngsters but we have more patience
Anyway, glad to have you back on the bus and we have the chance to nag whoever is driving
