|
|
Ok.... Dean seems to be over in Europe on his Harley tracking down the Neanderthal's....
So I'll start this Challenge.
Pick your food group, stick with it all the way to the end of July and tell us what benefit you got from it... ok?
Pick your poison, stay accountable... whether you f**k up or not, just stick with it.. it's the best way to be successful...
Mine is always ZC with a limeade or a fish taco or a beer thrown in...
What about you all?
And i'd love to see you stick with it all the way to July 31st.. it's the only way to be successful.. sticking to a plan.
anyone else?

I don't jiggle anymore, but I'm in.
I do meat, eggs, cheese, maybe a little heavy whipping cream now and then. I will also have an occasioinal ZC or VLC alcholic beverage. Oh, and coffee! _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

I'm in.
Daily I eat: meat and/or fish, coffee and devon cream (46% fat).
Not daily: Eggs, bacon and cheese.
The only thing I eat from the plant kingdom is coffee
Starting weight today is 215.8.
I'm so excited I'm jiggling. It may take some time, but those jiggles won't be hanging around anymore. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Let's see if I can stick to posting. I am eating the same as before.
Meat, eggs, cheese, heavy cream in my coffee. White wine occaisionally.
I still jiggle a little and need to get the last bit off.

Oh dear...I have a "reputation" to live up to now...the pressure!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtrEN-YKLBM
Jeff..I feel the need to be the judge of this..meet y0u in the basement..
As for getting less Jiggly..well...I have a lot of work in that department. I commit to:
Keeping up with my current eating plan which is...rather paleo these days with the exception of half and half and a touch of cheese on occasion...
Meat, fish, poultry, raw nuts, all in forms of whole unprocessed foods, limited fruit and veggies which I have grown or gathered, under 20 carbs when I want them. Coffee and half and half, occasional cheese...and not weighing except once a week...I do have some bacon..but it's nitrate free and I have some salmon burgers that have canola oil in them..not going to throw them out..so there..
Riding my bike..actually doing it this time but with a more realistic goal of 20-30 miles a week.
Keeping up with my weight training and push-ups
Starting crunches again on a regular basis.
That should do it for me..
Lynne, thanks for starting this challenge. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Menu:
herrings, pork burger, ribeye (that was so bad I had to throw half of it out - wasn't fat but some sort of grizzle and I pay $11.23 a pound for it here) so I made bacon and feta omelet to abate the remaining hunger. What a rip off.
I need to find a good butcher. Going to Easyfords Meat on Saturday to see what kind of meat they sell and what quality. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Today:
Ribeye
4 egg, Ribeye & Cheese omelet
An obscene amount of bacon
*Note to self - DO NOT make lots of extra bacon for later - it does NOT work
Kate - you really do need to find a good butcher - while I've always loved Ribeye, what I get now from a butcher/meat shop blows away any meat I can get in a grocery store and it's cheaper to boot. PLUS - it's untrimmed!!! Oh man....the fat is just gorgeous and unbelievably yummy.
Hope you find a good source soon - good Ribeye just cannot be beat! |

MM I never cook anymore than 4 or 5 slices of bacon because I can probably go through 2 pounds of it if I cooked it all. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Paleo man wanted to play..but It's way too hot for human contact here...Dean..maybe you could take him for a spin?
Day 4
Food
salmon burgers with dressing
pemmican
deviled eggs
french filet beans that I grew
a few strawberries that I grew
coffee with half and half
Eating pemmican on my lunch break at work..worked out really really well.
Exercise..ringing up beer and peoples crappy ass food for 8 and 1/2 hours....I just cannot believe what the general public puts in their bodies...It's sickening..
I have always eaten pretty healthy..and just cannot see why people eat all this processed crap.
Typical customer gets a 12 pack of soda, some ding dongs, a candy bar, some potato salad, 6 pack of Pabst, some frozen TV dinner and a loaf of white squishy bread.
They have sores all over their bodies, very few or no teeth..and horrid skin...and complain that they are tired... _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

have any of you eaten any of your meat raw or transitioning over to raw?
tell me about it..
i'm thinking of trying a meal here and there raw to see if my body enjoys it and keeps me full for a long period of time...

I will occasionally eat my meat completely raw, but usually I just sear the outside for about 30 seconds per side. So it's still pretty much raw. For me, raw meat seems to digest quicker and easier. When I eat fully cooked meat, it feels so heavy in my stomach. With raw, I don't get that. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

I don't like totally raw meat, but I don't like fully cooked meat at all -except for chicken and pork of course. Beef I just sear so that it's warm inside but still as good as raw, that's the way I like it best.
I am not good in challenges but I will just continue with only meat and butter and one coffee a day. further decaf and tea and water. No cheese or cream or sweeteners anymore!
Now if that would make me lose 10 pounds or so I would be happy! _________________ Willeke |

Welcome to the challenge Willeke
I eat only medium rare beef steaks on occasion only because raw meat seems to be harder for me to digest. Who knows what could happen down the road as I become adjusted. One month at a time. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

absolutely, one month at a time!
It took me two months to get off sweeteners, because I used to have three in my coffee. I just started with two for a week and then 1 for a week and then nothing and I'm glad I did it. _________________ Willeke |

Lynne,
I eat my beef the same as Jeff - I sear it quickly on the outside and the middle stays raw. I do nibble on some raw beef here and there as I'm preparing it - I find it almost sweet. It's amazing how things can seem sweet or salty when you've given those things up.
I just don't trust my meat enough to eat it all raw - I feel like a quick sear will destroy any lingering bacteria. Plus - I sear it at very high heat and it makes a nice little crust on the outside - I love the flavor duality of warm almost crispy outside with cold, raw inside...yum! |
