|
|
Seems as though there are several of us that are trying to reach specific weight goals..and perhaps struggling with exercise/eating routines...perhaps slipping a bit..I certainly have been and could use a BIG "kick in the pants"...so here's to supporting and motivating each other..The holidays are coming up..and this is the time to buckle down and get the lead out..
So November for me is all about cleaner eating...a LOT less boozing..and getting my exercise in no matter what...and of course trying to get into the 160's. Not sure if that will happen because I am officially 179 pounds now..(oops)
So if anyone is interested in joining me for a sort of "boot camp" type approach..please chime in. Cheryl..I know how good you are at this..and I am counting on y0u!!...as well as the rest of the gang...
Oh and Jeff....can you be the sexy cheerleading section?

Here are my plans for November:
Making MM's chicken parmesan wings
Making Surfergirl's meatballs
Making yOu's chili
Those are my top 3 priorities.
Then I'm going to eat them
I don't drink or smoke so no temptation there. I don't like ketchup, sauces or most condiments so no problems there either. Gawd, I'm depressing myself i'm so boring
Hmmm, that's about it for this old gal. I did order a wig so once that comes in maybe I can do the avatar thing. Nah. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

I am so bad about posting.
But I'm in for November.
I'm aging my meat in the fridge these days. Yummy and it stays fresher longer.
So all meats including fish, eggs, cheese maybe, no HWC, no wine, but I will continue decaf coffee. _________________ zero carb |

I am getting a head start on the month....Boot camp style....man candy has asked for some help with motivation...so I made us get up at 8 am on my day off..made a pot of coffee and we were out the door at 8:30 to run errands (on foot)...then back to my place to make him a flyer for something...all that before 10 am.
Then I went on a much longer walk..and now I am going on a 20 mile bike ride..so there!!
Also was invited to hang out with a friend from work and drink vodka tonight...and I said "nope, I am on a mission to not drink for 2 weeks"...also going to a party on Saturday where they will have a really good keg of local beer..so hopefully I will be good at that as well..(shouldn't be too hard since beer just makes me bloated) _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

you're in a new relationship, Y0u... you're forgiven, but the majority of us have been pretty diligent on what we're eating..
but if you look at the rest of us, we've all been pretty good at what we're eating...
no one has mentioned any binges or food abuse. _________________ "Failure is an opportunity to start again more intelligently." |

Hi Lynne.
I am so bad at posting but I have some awesome meat. Really fatty steaks, and really fatty pork chops with the bone in.
I love to cook them in my cast iron pan. They are so delicious I might have one for dinner.
I am dry aging my meat in the fridge these days and oh how good it is. _________________ zero carb |

Alright girls...I see this will be a month to lose the most! You guys are SERIOUS!
I'm in!
I do want to make thanksgiving a free day, but only that day, and I will still be careful. I will have wine that day, but no other.
On my list:
meat, fat including butter, dry spices, herbs, decaf coffee and carb free flavorings, decaf tea, and heavy cream. Cheeses are on my list as well, but limited this month since Katie has had good results cutting out the cheese. I am allowing horseradish, mustard and pickle relish in moderation.
No salad, no bread, No cake, no chocolate until I find carb free chocolate, No Veg, No fruit, no alcohol except for Thanksgiving, no matzo ball soup, no condiments with more than one carb. No Sugar. No hidden carbs or sugars. No hummus.
I will also walk my dog longer and jump on my re-bounder trampoline for exercise. Really. I know this is a shock for some of you, but with 30 lbs off my frame, I feel more active.
Alright...I'm ready, let the boot camp begin.
Jeff, do you have your pom poms and pasties ready? _________________ http://www.fitday.com/fitness/Pub...urnals.html?Owner=surfergirlpuppy

Starting the month at 195.4 lbs
Menu day 1: eggs, chicken wings, coconut oil, coffee, cream
Ok this month I am eliminating:
Exercise
Portion control
eating in moderation
counting calories
obsessing
Oh, I'm already doing that
Will continue eating animal origin only foods with hardly any cheese and salt as I did the last week of October with great success. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

i was cooking up a bunch of pork belly i got this week from the butcher and it smells wonky.. no matter how much i cooked it, it still had a sweet/rancid smell... tossing it.

Okey dokey..starting out the month hung over...a great reminder about why I should not be behaving the way in which I have been...
My innards hurt..my artritus hurts...my plumbing is screwed up...all signs of abusing my body.
My bike needs to be fixed..the shifters are broken and my derailure needs to be adjusted and I need new break pads..will make sure that gets done this week...no ride today..but tomorrow..it's weights and a ride.
So this month for me is about getting back on track..which includes:
Very limited alcohol
Lots of exercise
less coffee (I've been drinking full caff instead of 1/2 caff)
better sleep pattern
lose some weight... _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

I need one too!! Pretty please. My hormones are changing and I'm a complete horn dog now...but I'm also not having much luck with the hubster. Why is married sex so complicated anyway? Sigh....sex should be one thing that's easy.
C'mon Jeff...the boot babes need ya now! |

Hey yOu and MM.......I'll see what I can do about the cloning thing.
You're right MM......marital sex should be the one thing that is easy, but all too often it's not. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

Day 4
Food
BLT..yes I ate real bread
coffee and half and half
maybe a steak..maybe not
Exercise, 20 mile bike ride, weight training.
I do not know why I ate a blt..probably because I had a tomato from my garden and some bacon..I bought 2 slices of bread from the store/deli down the street...I might even get drunk again..
I am setting a very poor example for boot camp and I apologize...I'll try and get on board soon. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |
