hi everyone!

i am just so sick of feeling like crap..i have been back on the SAD diet for awhile. i KNOW LC is the only way to lose weight and get back on track..but i am trying to decide which LC diet to do...Atkins, Paleo..or the BEAR diet..

my question is this..

Would it be stupid of me to go straight from SAD to BEAR eating? would it be too much? Would it make more sense to go from SAD to LC and later to ZC? Or do ya think going straight from SAD to "BEar type" ZC would be ok..?????

I'm not even qualified to answer this question as I'm fairly new to ZC myself but I'm going to go ahead and voice my opinion anyway  Devil

I think you should jump right into the Bear style because frankly it's great for your body and in the long run...I think it is much easier to add something back into your diet if you feel the need then to have to take things out because you aren't getting the results you want.

Just my .02 of course.

thanks for your opinion MM! i will think about that..i think you might be right. Its just that i go through BAD BAD BAD "induction flu" whenever i go LC. i get sick for like 12 days, sleep all the time, get nauseaus, have horrible horrible cravings..i literally WITHDRAW from carbs and sugar! The withdrawal was even worse when trying ZC a couple times. But then again..why go through 2 withdrawal periods? Gotta think this through. i am leaning toward starting right out on BEAR ZC (i have no intention on a meat and water diet..i LOVE cheese and cream in my COFFEE!)

My advice would be to go all the way right from the beginning.  Get it over with.

Karen, whatever diet you choose, just make sure you can MAINTAIN it for the rest of your life.    I've been VLC for over a year and will NEVER GO BACK.   Diet is not about losing weight, it's about losing weight and KEEPING IT OFF.

Karen if you find that you can't get rid of your cravings even at low-carb (points to self as well) then Zero-carb is the way to go. I found that technically I'm not zero carb I still have a little cream, eggs, butter and cheese as long as I keep my carbs under 4 per day max and these don't trigger any cravings for me. Maybe someday I'll progress to eating just only meat. I've got a copy of what Bear recommended to eat and it also includes some cheese and some cream. You can do this. Yup
