So here I am. I have visited the bus many times over the years but was not interested in a carnivore diet at the time.
Always ate meat but was still in the mindset that I had to eat those darn veggies. I have IBS, veggies are terrible for a person with IBS.
I started low carb seriously about a year ago. I still ate too many carbs too often but over time I have found less and less to like about them.
Now I am zero to very low carb. I do use butter, cream, coffee. Do not use alcohol except for red wine occasionally and will probably give up that as well.
The only carb I eat that is sweet is 90% dark chocolate. Rarely. Haven't had that for a month or more.
I joined the living la vida site but it is amazing how many people there are still, years later, overweight and unhealthy. They have replaced their high carb junk food with low carb junk food.
After the zero carbers were thrown under the bus I followed Charles to his new zero carb site.
We are in the minority as far as our eating lifestyle and I enjoy reading what others are eating.
Saw the thread on the turducken with bacon and found it fascinating. The comments on the site were hilarious.
And that's pretty much that.

Hey Miriam:
Glad you found your way here. Most of us have found our own way of eating that suits us best (some no carb, some no diary) and some of us are more successful than others. But all of us seem to have ditched almost all processed foods and don't eat low-carb junk food. But the greatest thing about this site is that everyone is very supportive of your efforts and do not put you down if you've stumbled, because all of us have been there and understand.

| Miriam- Welcome. Yes, no carbers are definitely in the minority. I am glad you seem to have found something to help with the IBS. I have a friend with IBS who suffer frequently with it, so I am familiar with what a drag it can be. -- |

Not easy being a carnivore in the world of carbmania, huh?
