Hi Everyone,
I'm 49 years old and live in Northern, Va. I'm not new to the ZC approach to diet, however, I am new to the ZC way of life. I used zero carbs in the past to get in the past shape of my life, but did it as a diet and not a lifesytle change. As you know, carb creep started and before you know it I was a full blown carb addict. The fat reappeared with all the other carb addiction side affects; cravings, low energy, mood swings, always hungary, etc. Anyway, I'm 3 weeks into a diet of red meat, cheese, and heavy cream. So far so good. I'll be 50 in June and what to get in the best shape of my life.
I've read many of the books listed on this website, however, one I did not see was the book by Greg Ellis, "The Net Carb Scam, and the Hazards of Carbohydrates. In the exercise department I've been heavily influenced by Arthur Jones, and Dr. Doug McGuff.
I look forward to the advice and expertise on this website.
thanks
Greg

Hey Greg, welcome. I see we are of a similar age, it we share a goal. I will be 49 in a little over a month. A goal of mine has been to be in the best shape of my life when I turn 50. Thanks to ZC, I am well on course to acheive that. I've really gotten into running in the past couple of years, and will be running a half-marathon in August.
Good luck. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better and watching your progress. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |
