I make this in a slow-cooker and it's really informal and changes depending on what I have in the fridge:
Chicken, your favorite cut but with bone is better
Then throw in celery, mushrooms, tomatos, red bell peppers, onions, garlic
Tons of paprika
unrefined salt to taste
Dill
parsley
a couple of cups of water
Cook for about 6-8 hours
I add sour cream before serving. This freezes well too.
Sorry I don't use measurements
This really isn't much of a recipe but it works for me.

That does sound good... especially on this April Challenge!
kateryna, I never use measurements either. When I have to type up a recipe, I just have to sorta guess. I'm an instinctual seasoner. Dishes always come out best that way. _________________ When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.

Dean, even on the April challenge you could have something like this. Just don't eat the veggies. I'm sure the chicken would pick of the flavors of the tomatoes, peppers, etc. That way you could taste them, but not eat them. Just a thought for future reference. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

Well, yes. You'd have to omit the paprika. No way to avoid ingesting that. Step away......I'd suggest 69 steps away!! _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

jeff,
Here is the April Challenge version of kateryna's wonderful recipe:
Take a chicken quarter... throw it into a crock pot... add a little water. Cook on low for several hours.
Enjoy. Cuz, that's all there is! _________________ When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.

Hey, nothing wrong with that. Naked chicken is delicous too. I do some of my best eating when nakedness is involved. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

Eat a peach!
But, I don't think that's an animal.
Or is it? _________________ When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.

I was just remembering that conversation.
Could be an animal.
