That's OK, Heather. These Challenges have kept us on track for long stretches of time! Look how long you went eating well. Just start over and see how far you can go again. You've been doing GREAT!

Don't beat yourself up over it. Just start over. You're still doing great 99% of the time. With your stress level, I'm amazed you're not living on sugar and alcohol. You're doing great, and you're still my hero.

And you're still a Jedi in my eyes!

WOW!
Can't believe that I made it in here! But, I did!
Day 31 starts tomorrow!
I have been off coffee for three days now! The headaches and sluggishness are getting better... but, MAN, is it EVER hard to give up this habit!
I am gonna stay off of coffee. I want to just drink ice water... and drink a shit load of it.
After the Holidays (which last into the second week of January for me), I will be getting off the wine as well.
I am trying to get as clean as possible.
And, I am BACK to my Paleo WOE! I have been eating fruit and loving it. I will begin to lose weight and body fat now... this I know. I stalled on carnivore for the whole year 2006. In 2004, from January 1st until April 18th, I lost 26 pounds of body fat in a totally consistent manner (about 1.6 lbs per week). I did it by eating "Paleo"... meaning I ate bison, deer, chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, fruit, veggies, herbs, spices... and even nuts and seeds... and a bit of butter. I ate foods as fresh as possible. Funny thing is... I ate all I wanted. No bull.
The things I DID NOT eat: NO Grains... NO Legumes... NO Dairy... NO Coffee... NO Alcohol... NO processed food. I had some condiments that were a bit processed, but tried to get those that were the least processed. Basically, I didn't use a lot of condiments. I did use herbal teas at times.
I loved eating this way. I even snacked on fruits and nuts at times. Granted, I could have gotten down to even lower body fat had I done total carnivore (with no coffee, dairy, wine)... but, I don't know how good it really is. And... the reason I wonder is very simple. Our ancestors probably ate raw game meat a LOT. This provided them with a lot of nutrients that our modern diets don't. Now, if I started eating the raw deer muscle meat in my freezer (like Klondike does), perhaps I would be as healthy as him. That is ALL he eats. PERIOD. But, I am just a bit squeamish of doing this... and, I am not sure I could put up with the monotony. Acculturation is alive and well in this "cultured" creature.
And Klondike is very happy to hear that I won't be competing for his food supply!
