Becoming more sensitiveAnyone here notice that they've become more sensitive to certain things since eating this way (VLC or NC)?
For example, I've noticed that salt is making me retain water. Not the sea salt I use in cooking/seasoning - only in a prepared food, like certain bacons or deli meats. Also since eating "clean" bacon (from my organic butcher of my farmer), I noticed that if I have grocery store bacon, I get slight stomach pains - assuming it's from nitrates or something else in the way they make it. I'll also puff up with water in my fingers and face.
I think it's like eliminating gluten - the longer you're without it, the more noticeable/severe your reaction when/if you do ingest some, bc your body can react appropriately as it's no longer bogged down/maladapted to a constant influx. Also, you just notice this stuff more bc you're paying attention, and know that it's not "normal" to have reflux, gas etc. You become more aware of your body and it's baseline "feel good" state.
Anyone else notice anything?

Yes, I can really feel the drain in energy, and just feel yucky if I eat real carbage. ( not that I would ever do that, right? lol) Salt was never a good thing for me, and I would say I have much less trouble with it on LC than before.
I have mostly noticed how much more sensitive my taste and smell are with LC/ VLC. I didn't used to have such a sensitive nose, but now I can often tell what someone has been eating if they are standing close to me. I have learned not to share this info, as it makes my sister very self- conscious about it. Probably most people would not like to know that you can smell them (or what they eat), unless you are commenting on their perfume.
