Fabshelly's "Let's do it again" Challenge

Starting May 1 and ending September 1, I'm going to be eating the same thing every day.  I knew that people could do this and be healthy and happy.  Roy Disney ate half a chicken for dinner, every night, and for years, this is how rural America ate, with a long, happy, healthy life.

Poached eggs and butter for breakfast, with coffee, cream and coconut oil.

Chicken for lunch.

Beef for dinner.

Coconut oil three times daily.

So, let's be flexible - what would you eat daily, if you were to eat the same thing every day? Think about it and feel free to join me in this Challenge.

If anyone out there doesn't regularly eat the same thing every day NOW, would anyone like to join me in this Challenge?

Thanks!
Dean

This sounds very interesting, Shelly!

I know Bear used to say he would eat the same thing every day for a very long time, so, I'm sure this is definitely doable. Cool

Good luck, and keep us posted on your results. Should be very interesting to see how you and others do with this. Yup

I love the idea....but I'm sure I wouldn't make it the whole time!!

Since going zero carb (okay I'm still around 10, cause there are carbs in eggs and cheese!) I've found meals so much easier.

I have eggs every morning for breakfast - never get tired of them.  This week I've had shrimp and butter for lunch 3 days in a row.  Beef or chicken for dinner.  So simple.  I like to cook, but really the more basic I keep my menu the healthier it is.  And cheaper too!

Good luck on your challenge.

I tend to do this almost naturally because I eat mostly chicken and beef the only variance being the different parts of the chicken...

It is really sad that chicken's only have two wings each.

Lisa, I'm the same way. It's great to only have to cook something more elaborate when you have the time and really want to. This WOE, especially the low frequency of meals, is such a benefit. Being able to resist the temptations to eat junk when out and about and around all of it, since it's so prevalent in the modern world, makes ZC so advantageous, even over LC eating.

Also, it's a good way to save money.  No, I'm not kidding.  You get what you're getting at the market and don't get tempted to "try something" that is pricey and bad for you, just because of some mistaken belief that you need variety.

I'm down eight pounds and my ketostix are purple.  I still feel sluggish and fat and I'd kill for a box of Cakesters.

But I really want to stick to it this time.  I'm one of those people that, it's so hard to stick to stuff.

I got coconut oil, loved it but overdid it and now it makes me gag.  Sigh...

Nice job, Shelly.  Stick with it.  You'll begin feeling better soon.

Great effort, Shelley!  Yup WTG!

Shelly,  if you'll stick with it for a few weeks the cravings will dimminish and finally go away altogether.  I went through the same thing.  I started feeling the benefits after about the 4th week and then I felt so good that I never wanted to return to my old way of eating.

I failed at the challenge, but for a good reason.

With the meat company, they're paying me half cash, half meat/chicken/pork/fish.  So...I'm eating a lot of things I usually couldn't afford, and having a ball, and losing weight, getting healthy and for the first time since I can remember...

NO PMS!

Then I remembered, last time I was a good little Tyger, I didn't have it either.  Go me(at)!
jeff

That's awesome, Shelly.  Yup

Hi Shelly, great to "see" you! :)

I'm back at it too. Something I read said to take 4 grams of vitamin C when you have cravings for carbs and crap. I tried it and it seems to work pretty well.

Keep up the good work! I'm shooting for the 4 weeks to feeling better and no more cravings as well.

((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
