Getting Off Artificial Sweeteners challengeI have a HUGE aspartame headache this morning and just feel bleh. I know it is related to the 5 bottles of diet pepsi I drank yesterday. I could have had ice water but noooooooooooo, I had to drink those just because I felt it was justified because it got to 105 F here yesterday.
My last one was at 9 pm last night and this morning, after waking up and feeling like my head was about to explode, I am giving up all forms of artificial sweeteners. My mini-goal is to go one month without them and I hope after that staying off them should be easy.

Jaime, I don't know what you think of stevia, but it doesn't seem to be in the artificial category as it's from an herb. Well, stevia is the herb, and then of course they process it to be white or liquid. There's a liquid that is made from the whole leaf but doesn't have too much of the herbal taste. According to Ray Peat, who I am a big fan of, carbonated water is good for you, and if you add some stevia and vanilla or other flavor such as a few drops of ginger, you can have a delicious low carb carbonated drink.
By the way, good for you for getting off the aspartame!

I have no problem with stevia. It is actually on my shopping list to get but I have been procrastinating and not done the grocery shopping yet.
