Hi everyoneI've been reading the posts here for about a week now. I've had chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and what seems like a million other problems for over 20 years and have been trying many diets to try to get better. I've tried low carb before, but I had a hard time with it. I'm trying it again, though, and hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to get through the tough spots/problems.
It's good to find a place like this with friendly people who are willing to share and help. Thanks.

Thanks, I appreciate the welcome. I'm having such a hard time right now that it's hard to even address any of the issues.

Manaloa, thank you so much. I read your introduction yesterday and was greatly encouraged by it. I especially liked the part when you said that you're going to have to find fun stuff to do because your house is all cleaned up and you still have extra energy. Wow! I hope I can say the same thing some day.
Thanks again,

Bets,
It does get like that, believe me! You will be bouncing off the walls with a lot of energy... you'll feel wired. And, you will end up with insomnia if you don't get some exercise in. That makes sense, considering we were on the move, hunting and eating animal food during our evolution... until we came to this big agricultural carb crash!

OMG, that is so true Dean!! Seriously I feel like I have to run around during the day because if I don't then I feel like I'm bouncing off the walls at 11pm!!

Yesterday I experienced a little bit of what you're talking about. In the morning I had so many thoughts running through my head that it was almost scarey. Also, for so many years I have been trying to do at least Y-dan or yoga before breakfast but have only had the energy to do it about 50% of the time. Yesterday morning I did Y-Dan first thing and then before breakfast I put on my sneakers and went for a short walk/run.(very short!) Later in the day I went for another 25 minute walk. This sounds so minimal to most people here, I am sure, but for me it's a great improvement. I then decided to live in my sneakers for the rest of the summer.
For many years I was able to walk for an hour or an hour and a half every day. I was vegetarian for so many years, and it worked for a while. But then my body started to break down really quickly. It seems as though when you're young you can get away with almost any diet, but then if it's not the correct diet, you pay when you get older.
I hope it lasts!
