Hup hup...I'm Susanne and I've been an out-of-control carb addict this week.
I didn't eat off my Atkins/LC plan, but I sure as heck ate too much!
I didn't gain but I feel gross...mentally. It's the behavior/binging that disturbs me. I think I've come so far, and then a few challenges come my way and I revert to the 'old' behavior to cope. I can't even really pride myself on not eating off plan, because BINGING is BINGING.
Any thoughts, fellow addicts????

I ate two packages of Oreo Double Stuf this week. One regular, one peanut butter.

Susanne, while a binge is a binge, I do think it is significant that you were able to stick to legal foods. While you may not like the behavior, no real harm was done. That's my take on it.

Susanne, you could have done so much worse. In spite of everything, you stuck to your plan. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Ok, thanks for all the thoughts, gang. I do need to be more positive about it.
It just seems to me I should be able to cope without overeating at ALL.

My unprofessional take on it is that your body has lost some weight lately and it feels hungry. As long as you eat allowed foods your body will stabilize for the next round of loss. You thought your body would just take it meekly, huh?

Are you getting enough animal fat in your diet? Have you tried eating only carnivore for a few days? There is no appetite on this WOE, as long as you allow enough animal fat and don't try and restrict that... I mean up to a point, that is.
I don't eat donuts cuz I'm hungry (unless I do restrict animal fat too much)... I eat donuts out of pure misuse of food... trying to gain comfort from food.
What kinds of foods are you overeating? Are they AS type foods? Perhaps if you feel these binges coming on, or are in them, you can switch to eating pure, clean, animal food for just a few days... just to get your appetite under control. See if this helps you.

My fat content is always 70% or higher, and most of that is animal fat. I am not pure carnivore at the moment...I seem to be losing better with some carbs in my diet. I guess I'm sort of cycling back and forth, keeping it 'kicked up'.
My eating is likely related to my grief over my friend's death. I'm not too worried about it - I'm merely telling on myself.
