Is there a trick to cutting wings?

I used to buy the frozen wingettes but have been buying fresh whole wings lately to save some bucks.

I have a lot of trouble cutting them though. I use a good sharp knife but I still have to saw through them and often I end up with little bone fragments because I missed the mark.

I'm thinking I need a cleaver to just chop right through.

Anyone have a trick to this task?

Bear with the first part..but it shows you just how to cut the wings....I have never had a problem, just make sure you are cutting at the joint.  If you are getting bone fragments you are not cutting at the joint.  Bending it backwards will help you figure out where the joint is as well.

y0u - this did help, thanks for posting it. I still occasionally have trouble finding the joint but I'm much better at it now.

Something else I took away from the video is to leave the wing tip on - this saves me loads of time and since I don't make soup at the moment wastes less. I find that even though there is no discernible meat in the tip it's still fun to pick off the crunchy skin with your teeth.

I use those fancy kitchen scissors and bending. It takes no time to cut an entire package. But then I practically live on chicken wings....
