Italian Sausage Mushroom PizzaItalian Sausage Mushroom Pizza
Slice and saute mushrooms in loads of butter and garlic powder.
Cook some fresh Italian sausage, breaking into nice chunks of meat.
Slice or shred some mozzarella and provolone cheese.
Break 9 eggs into a large bowl.
Put in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, white and black pepper, sea salt.
Whip this up.
Heat tallow or butter in a very large skillet.
Pour in the egg mixture.
Make sure the heat is not on very high.
When the egg starts to firm up, shut off the stove heat. Put the cheese on top. Then, put the sausage chunks and the shrooms on top the cheese. Put a lid on the skillet and place in an oven at about 275°. Bake for about 10-15 minutes. Take out of oven and let cool for a bit before slicing pieces.
This will look like an Italian sausage mushroom pizza, and taste like one too!
Now, if I just had some parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top of this.
BTW... sliced black olives would go nicely on this as well.

I made this this evening. I went all out and put in "pizza" cheese (about four different cheeses), sliced black olives, sautéed shrooms, Italian sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Italian seasoning, and I think that's it.
When I whipped up the 10 eggs for this pizza, I added some half & half. This pizza is so thick and will feed me for a few days. Loads of animal fat. I'm gonna make another one tonight. This stuff is so good to heat up and eat slices. So filling, and so good! Try it. I think you'll agree.
And, jeff, it's got loads of calories!

Yes, Dave, it will evenly cook the egg... otherwise it might burn the bottom of the pan before the rest is done. It's like baking a quiche, I suppose. You gotta be careful not to keep it in the oven too long, or it will burn. But, if you cook it just right, it will be just like pizza when you eat it. It is good.

Gotta get a metal handled skillet immediately!!! That looks so good. I wish had read this one before I went out today, now I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Get a very large one, Bobi.

My problem would be - being able to moderate myself!!

The great thing about a pizza like this is how just one, or two, pieces really satisfies. This was never the case with me and the carby pizza... it was always a fight to stop myself at 2.

Heather, how correct you are. I can remember so many times eating an entire large pizza, but with this zero carb one, just one slice satiates you so well that it is all you need. Often that would be all I would eat for the day. It was still probably near 1500 calories or something like that, since it had so much animal fat in it.

THis sure looks like an answer to my breakfast problem - if I get to the point I can eat cheese and some spices again after my experiment. Perhaps this can be my celebratory dinner!

I made myself a huge "pizza" back on my birthday in '06 but I used very lean ground beef as the base, some tomato sauce, a huge amount of cold cuts and a huge amount of cheese. It was absolutely heavenly and talk about a celebratory dinner!
