7-13-09

some hard salami and raw milk cheese
ribeye steak fired in skillet with goat butter, salt, pepper
pint of pulled pork w/vinegar sauce

off work today and took my dogs for a long walk.

Cooked some short ribs in the crock pot yesterday, might have some later.  Maybe a spoon full of coconut and almond butter too...

3 pastured eggs
some leftover pulled pork
little over a lb. of grassfed ground beef with garlic, dry mustard, other spices
hunk o cheese, raw dairy provolne
handful of almonds
coupla spoonfuls of coconut oil
cup of coffe with cream

only 2 days in but my energy level seems really high.  I was expecting a drop off with the almost total absence of carbs.  I havent been weighing or counting anything, too much of a pain.  I'll try and take some pics this week and monitor visually, with the scale, and how I feel.

7-15-09 fasted all day, wasnt too bad...
more grassfed ground beef with select spices.
pretty good size piece of salmon cooked in coconut oil with some soy sauce, seaseme seeds, salt, pepper
little drink I made with heavy cream, 2 raw eggs, some vanilla, melted coconut oil and a little agave syrup.

havent weighed myself this week, I'll try and wait at least a few weeks.  Seems theres a period of water weight loss or flucuation until things balance out.  

I feel full, but I wonder if I'm consuming enough calories...I don't want to be one of those psycho types weighing and logging everything.  Any thoughts?

Agreed.  If you're not hungry, there's no need to eat.  You body is still well-fed.

busy day today...fasted again, but not on purpose...
stopped at a roadside bbq stand and got ribs and some pulled pork.  seems like pulled pork is a good choice for eating out when trying to go zc.  so today it was half a rack of ribs and some pulled pork, leftovers tomorrow....

p.s. the girl at the bank gave me a lollipop, guess that is a violation...hehe

If you are trying to avoid sugar, pulled pork might not be the best choice.  Most recipes have sugar in them.  But you are eating agave nectar so maybe it's not important to you.

Agave is assimilated by your body the same way or even faster than table sugar btw.

i got the pulled pork w/o sauce.  I've got some vinegar sauce at home made without any sugar.  Just vinegar, spices, some hot pepper...

I thought the agave was pretty low sugar per volume compared to most other sweetners.  I think the package says 16g of carb per tablespoon and I used less than that.  I'm betting so far this week I've stayed below 50 grams of carbs per day.

bad day today...got wacked in the face at work and broke a tooth...kinda hard to eat anything right now...dentist on mon, so right now I look like a hockey play (its a front tooth).  at least ive got some leftover pulled pork.  maybe I can get a platinum or silver tooth now...lol.   went to the farmers market today and stocked up on ground meat, bacon, eggs, raw cheese so mon ill pig out.  

maybe over the weekend ill live on shakes:  cream, protein powder, coconut oil, almond buttter, etc.  maybe with some vicodin lol

not sure what happened...i tried to post but they werent showing...my tooth problem turned into a debacle.  had to get an oral surgeon involved.  2 teeth pulled and had implants put in.   very negative reaction to the  knock out medicine.  but back on track this week.  ordered a kettlebell and it showed up so its workouts in the park after work.

farmers market tomorrow to stock up on meat cheese...

this week has to be better than last...

fish oil pills, some coconut oil, leftover sirloin roast, beef brats from farmers market (really good and fatty).  maybe some raw eggs, cream, coconut oil, almond butter, and vanilla concoction before bed.

long walk with dogs early and some kettlebell swings this evening...

big b'fast this morning then plan to fast all day.  coffee with cream, spoonful of coconut oil, 1 leftover brat, some leftover meatloaf stuff (grassfed beef, coupla eggs, some milled flax, spices, etc.  kinda turned out more like taco filler than meatloaf but really good) 3 eggs and some blueberries and walnuts with cream...wow.   feel like a tick, should be good to go for the day.

7-27-09

Didnt make it all day yesterday on the fast.  Got really hungry late in the day and had some more of my meat caserole creation.  Cooked a big pork roast last night that will be my meat for the next few days.

Kettlebell swings are kicking my ass!  When I was hitting the gym all the time I could swing, clean, and almost consistenly use the 40 kg. (88lb.).  I could snatch a 32 kg for pretty high reps, not anymore.   Didn't take long and now the 20 kg. is giving me hell.  Something to work up to.

Gonna eat some pork, some meat creation, and cheese today.

big b'fast of pork roast, some eggs, and hunk of cheese.  More pork for dinner.  Gonna try a new drink with eggs, coconut milk, almond butter, vanilla.  Haven't really checked my weight, but my energy level is still high, even when not getting "enough" sleep.  No kbs today, feel like I feel from a roof.  Dogs will get a long walk.

Been sticking with the vlc pretty well.  I need to get more consistent with my exercise.   I'm going to start bringing my kettlebell with me in the car and working out in the park on the way home.

I've kinda got my food down to just a few things.  Lotsa grassfed ground beef, pastured eggs, raw milk cheese, and some spices.  A nice roast or some seafood now and then is cool too, but I think I could eat grassfed hamburger every day...

I'm still trying to find somewhere local that has raw milk, but its damn near impossible.  I think its easier to find a black market kidney...hehe.
