Just got my vitamin and mineral intra cellular blood test

I have been mostly 0 carbing for about 2 years+. I mostly follow bears routine. I do eat a salad with my dinner only about 4 days per week which probably comes out to 15g of carbs. I have been supplemening with magnesium (200mg) and calcium (200mg). I do use unrefined Celtic salt on all of my food. I have found that using salt and supplementing with cal and mag is a must and I get arrhythmias, dry hair, dry skin, fatigue, irratiblity and other symptoms of hypothyroid if I don't. I still have brain fog and some of the symptoms even when I supplement so I decided to get a blood test to see if I might be deficient in any other nutrients. This is a legitimate blood test and is partially covered by insurence. I went to a hospital for the blood to be drawn and for them to send the blood work to a lab. They musured the amount of a particular nutrient inside the cell and then compared the results to thousands to of other people to see if there is a deficiency. Anyway here are the results.

As you can see I am borderline deficient in folate. Other than that this does prove that an all meat diet contains all the nutrients you need. I don't understand why I was deficient in folate though because like I said I usually eat a big romaine lettuce salad about 4 times per week. I did some research and supposedly folate is not very bioavailable in plants and are more bioavailable in supplements which is why most foods are fortified. Another theory I have about this is that paleolithic people did not bleed the animals they killed and folate is high in the serum but extremely low in the muscle meats and most organs except liver. So paleolithic people would have gotten their folate supply from the blood. I just picked up a folic acid supplement today and will seee if this was the missing link I have been looking for.

My symptoms I described above in the 1st post did not occur until I started a 0 carb diet so maybe folate is the missing link.

Low folate levels may also be the cause to my low glutathione and maybe also my low coenzyme Q10. I have seen studies that have showed folate supplementation increased glutathione levels. However, I do not know why my coenzyme Q10 levels were low because that is mostly found in meat. Maybe it had alot to do with the folate levels. I know as you get older you produce less of it but I am only 25.

Well what do you guys think. Discuss ....................................

The first page says you are insulin defficient.... oh no!

Not deficient in vitamin c, the supposed non existant in meat vitamin. hmmm

I'm not exactly proficient in labresultese but your results look great to me.

BTW, I have no idea what folate is good for. Sorry.

I guess I am confused. You say you are zero following the Bear but you eat salad.

He eats no vegetation at all ever.

Maybe that is the problem. Have you thought of dumping your vegetation and just eating meat?
