Lamb Fat and Bison FatSo anyone eaten lamb or bison fat? Reviews please! :D
Also, has anyone used bison bones for broth before?

You know, I tried to acquire some bison bones once, for the marrow inside, but, did not have any luck.
But, try, try again, since I need lots of sources of animal fat, right?
I have rendered my share of bison fat. It's yellow. The grain-fed cow fat is pure white. The grass-fed stuff might have better O3/6 ratios, but, I'm not too sure of all that.
Have you seen this?

Hi Dean! Thanks for the link. I hadn't read that thread. It was very informative.
I'm about to order my Slanker's stuff: fat, bones and they have a lot of different kinds of meat and meat fat, bones. It's supposed to be all grass fed, never grain fed stuff. They even have grass fed chicken bones for stock if you want them!
I was thinking of trying some bison bones and maybe some bison fat as well.
Here is the link to their website - they will ship pretty much everywhere in the U.S.:

Hi Lynne, I hope you like it! I think the available amount of different fats and bones, organs is really amazing! I priced oxtails here yesterday and regular feed lot oxtails were $0.50/lb more than the grassfed counterparts!
:hugs:
