New hereHi!Just wanted to post a quick hello:) My name is Amy, 27yo, from Canada (NB). I've been VLC/ZC for about 3 weeks now. This is my first official day of just meat & water. I'm aiming for 30 days:) My history with carbs and insulin have not been weight-related, and I've never been overweight. I have, however, struggled immensely with food obsession, bingeing and carb addiction. I have many food allergies - all carb-related of course: gluten, corn and fructose. Meat is the only food I don't have allergy issues with, so I've been feeling great on this diet! So glad to be here! |

Hi Amy,
Welcome to the bus! Nice to see yet another Canadian on here. I am from Alberta. I am officially starting zero carb - meat and water only on January 1. It would be great if you joined our January challenge - the more the merrier! Unlike you, I have weight issues that I am dealing with. I have lost 100 lbs and would like to drop another 35 - 40 lbs, I am hoping that sticking to low carb long term will help me do this. It is awesome that you are doing this from a health perspective instead of a weight loss perspective - people like you will be important role models for me once I shed this extra weight. Knowing that others can stick with this WOE long term inspires me!
