Bear isn't "our leader" or anyone's leader for that matter. He was the soundman for the Dead.

Those should give you some history.
This board is dedicated to Bear. He was the inspiration for it. His views made many of us look at the paleo issue in a whole new light. Instead of thinking we evolved eating all sorts of rubbish, as he likes to call non-animal food, we were exposed to the idea that humans adopted hunting, and, until very recently, for millions of years, ate primarily animals. We adopted carnivorism. Even our anatomical evolution is like a carnivore.

Optimal nutrition for us humans should be heavily centered around animal foods. We are, therefore, carnivores. Atkins, Eades, Price, Groves, and many more say the same thing, but, they just don't put it as bluntly as Bear does. Bear doesn't like to beat around the rubbish bush with anything.
Anyway, that's why this board exists. But, Bear is no leader of anything. He is responsible for many good trips, though.
Including this one.

Yah, a prophet, or more like a monk, really. He lives in a far off land, away form the public. Nobody has seen him in many years. There are only very sketchy photos of him. They always show a faint halo, though. That's his aura, from all the Kool-Aid.
