What'll Be The Result Of The Fat Can't Be Stored Experiment

Just curious as to what everybody thinks will happen with this. A little background info for those who may not be familiar with what I am doing here. It has been stated by "Bear" Owsley Stanley and Barry Groves that dietary fat cannot be stored in the human body. So as an experiment I am going to put this hypothesis to the test. For the next 7 days I will be eating about 4,000 calories per day, mostly from fat with minimal carbs and adequate protein. This should provide me with an excess of about 1200 calories per day, or 8400 for the week. I have been maintaining my weight pretty consistantly, averaging about 2500 calories per day. Using the average of 5 different metabolism calculators, I have come up with an average of about 2800 calories per day. If dietary fat can be stored, I should gain about 2.4 pounds in one week. So, what do you think will happen?
Dave

Jeff, I think 7 days is a short term for this.

I picked:- weight will be maintained.

But since you will be going into deeper ketosis at the start - maybe lose a little from water weight.

It is fairly short term, Dave. But I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it for more than one week. But, if dietary fat can be stored as body fat, it should show up as about a 2 pound gain, even in just one week. So Dave, are you saying that you agree that fat cannot be stored? Or are you saying that you don't think 7 days is enough time to tell?
Dave

Yep I agree, that in the absence of carbs - no storage.
