Im doing good Work has me tied up atm im working 60+ hours a week.. but that's ok I dont mind (much). My love's mom had a TBI almost a year ago and it has been a long recovery, but she has made alot of progress (no thanks to the medical community). she went from being in a coma to basically the same woman she was (only a bit weaker and unable to do some of the things she was doing before). Her mind is now regressing and that has been difficult for us... but we will make it and so will she
so.. ive got some things going on.. but Im looking on the sunny side of things and staying optimistic. as usual, i guess

I liked all your recipes posted earlier, thanks. I know what it's like to work 60+ hours a week. Doesn't leave much time to get into any mischief, does it?

other than the cicada, it's going great!
those things are supposedly singing love songs.. I dont know. it sounds awful to me hehe
i hear you can fry them up and eat them though dont know about that one..
it's been pretty humid here and the ac isnt working at home or work.. so ive been pretty hot..
incidentally, for those of you that were around then, my puppy (all 11 years of her) is doing really well.. back outside (thank goodness) and her fur is growing in nicely except where she had the hole in her back.
she is playful and happy
ok thats enough for me.. cya!
|
jeff
|
Glad your puppy is doing well! And stop sending the rain up my way, ok?
|
Dean
|
Mina, so glad your puppy is doing well and is so happy. They really add so much joy to our lives, don't they?
|
Heather L
|
Mina-- I'm glad to hear the "puppy" is doing well. I'm sure that is a relief.
What a bummer that the AC isn't working. It can get so muggy!
|
~mina~

thanks guys! much love

Heather

Glad to hear about your puppy!
I had no idea what a cicada was, so I did a search, that sounds truly horrifying!!!!!
|
~mina~
|
hehe nah not too bad.. I found one that I thought was dead in my kitchen while mopping. I think actually it was the outer shell of the body left from molting.. it was huge.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:CicadaMoult.jpg
that was a few weeks ago. today I saw a squished one inside the post office door.. it had wings and a striped body. enormous things!
glad they only come around once every 17 years here.
they are kind of creepy!!

I"ve heard that Colby cheese is named after the town of Colby, Wisconsin but I can't prove it. Time to google.......
|
jeff
|
Ok, that took all of about 30 seconds.
| Quote: | History
Joseph F. Steinwand in 1874 developed a new type of cheese at his father's cheese factory near Colby, Wisconsin. The cheese was named after the village.[2], which had opened three years previously. [3]
An 1898 issue of the "Colby Phonograph" noted that "A merchant in Phillips gives as one of the 13 reasons why people should trade with him, that he sells the genuine Steinwand Colby Cheese." After the turn of the century Wisconsin became known as one of the great cheese producing centers in the United States. |

Thanks for thinking about Klondike, Mina.
That's great you have a cat that looks like him. Did your cat look like him as a kitten?
