I would really like to get very drunk.
I am making arrangements to euthanize my cat soon. This has been a very crappy few weeks and my heart is breaking. I have been giving her subcutaneous fluids for 2 weeks now and will do one more and then take her off the fluids and see how she does. I wish she would pass in her sleep.
She has been with me for over 1/2 of my life...I've been very lucky to have her for 22 years. I wonder how my other cat is going to react.
I just started a new job this week as well, so that has added to my stress because I want to be there for Ouzo..but I had to take this job. It's a really crappy job at a grocery store in a rather bad neighborhood..I will probably get shanked on the way home.
I have been staying on track, and exercising..and eating well..If I lose 6 more pounds I will be under 200#'s
Such is life...

Sorry to hear about Ouzo. Very sad. 22 years is a very long life for a cat. I once had a cat put to sleep, so I can relate.
Congrats on the job. A crappy job is better than no job. Be careful on your way home.

So sorry to hear about your cat. It's so hard to let go of a kitty who's been with you for so long. 22 years is certainly a great long life and a testament to your love and care.
Congrats on the job - I think....at least it's something right? Get yourself a keychain pepperspray.

Ouzo is very lucky to have had y0u for all these years.
Yah, I've prayed many times for Klondike to go in his sleep, with no pain, instead of me having to deal with putting him down. He's doing so well now, but, he still drinks a lot of water and every time I leave him to go somewhere I tell him how much I love him, cuz, who knows.
I hope you will take care of yourself and let your job know what you need to get through the grieving. It's going to be very painful, I'm sure. I've been through it with three cats, and they were young cats. You've developed such a bond with Ouzo that I'm sure it is going to be really hard to let her go.
Hang in there and please take good care of yourself.

Thank you all for your kind words rergarding Ouzo..she is still with me.
I woke up this fine day of June the first..and did my weekly weigh in and measure. I am now 202#'s and an inch smaller in the tummy. It was a pleasant surprise.

I am so sorry about your cat, y0u.
I just had to put down my dog Sadie. We tried really hard with her but her health was just getting worse and worse. She was disoriented and cried all the time. She could no longer see or hear and seemed to be living in fear and would jump when you came near.
I hate it. They trust you so much and they let the vet give them that shot and just go to sleep. I cried like a baby.

Thanks for your kind words everyone.
My 2 day drunk/chocolate binge is over.
Athena is following me everywhere..and insists on sitting next to me or ON me at all times...it's rather cute...she is talking a lot as well. She is not used to being able to eat first, as Ouzo was the Alpha, and always ate first. So she sort of stares at her food bowl..and then Ouzos food bowl..and looks at me as if asking for permission. I haven't quite been able to remove Ouzos food bowl yet..maybe soon.
Back to the plan..of Onderland this month..I am 205 again..so 5 or 6 pounds in 21 days..I'll give it my best shot.(no, no more shots of booze)

I went out to the garden today..and it blessed me with 2 new blooming lilies..it's the simple things like this that keep me going when everything else goes to crap.

I have an irrational fear of eating fruit salad today..yes I have been eating a 1/2 an apple or a 1/4 cup of berries a few times a week..but..this will have pineapple and grapes and melon in it..hmm..
My friends mother is visiting from Scotland..and they are all coming over for tea..so fruit salad seemed like a good plan..with whipped cream.
I know I will have left overs..and eat on it for a few days....I am saddened that I have a fear of fruit salad..but also laugh about it.
Ok...this is dumb..I am diving into it...head first..will report back later..or call the fruit police or join the fruit burlesque show...or something..

Doesn't seem irrational to me - I'm petrified of fruit.
I give my son lots of fresh fruit and sometimes the smell of a strawberry will overwhelm me and I think how nice it would be to pop it in my mouth. Then my fear kicks in and makes me wash my hands lest a drop of fruit juice get on my steak and infect me - hahaha

I had a small bowl (about 1 cup) of the fruit salad..light on the pineapple..with some whipped cream.
Sent the rest home with guests..the whole batch!!
Pineapple is amazing stuff....
I am a very good girl...
Blood sugar 125 a few hours after eating fruit salad...yup..did no harm..but glad it's gone..cause I could have eaten bowl upon bowl of that...

I went to a friends today to pick cherries off her tree..ate about 10 of them..they were tasty..went home and picked berries..ate a lot more than 10...fruit sure is tasty..I am going to have watch this...there is 1 carb per cherry..HA!
My freezer now has a giant bag of pitted rainier cherries..and many many quarts of frozen marionberries...will learn to eat a 1/4-1/2 cup at a time..I promise. 
Went on a lovely bike ride today..need to do this more often..my legs need more muscle to match the arms and shoulders I have developed.
My Dinnerplate Dahlias will bloom soon...
