Seeded my winter garden today..
Reveled in the glory of nature..
Got my feet dirty..cause real women play in the dirt..

What is it about craving alcohol and monthly bleeding? I seem to do this every month...I don't think it's really a bad thing as long as I keep it very limited...but I do crave carbs the next day really bad..must watch that...tho interestingly today..I did not....must be cause I ate em all last night..haha
I did get a weird rash all over my back today..must have been the weird microwave burrito I ate..who knows what was in that thing.
Did not eat very much today..only salmon and soup and berries with cream, green beans and butter...and a lot of iced coffee.
Brutally hot here...hope to get a bike ride in tomorrow if it cools down...
I am much less stressed out from my new job now too..but still not getting enough hours. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

2:30 am..cannot sleep. Woke up ravenous because I did not eat dinner after work (a not so uncommon problem) as I am rarely hungry at 10:30 at night. Had a few bites of chicken..will try and go back to bed.
I still have the rash all over my back...it's itchy.
In the garden I sit and watch the stars
and the earwigs on the dahlias.
The snails slowly devour what they wish
as I have planted plenty to share.
It doesn't help with my sleep
but gives some sort of comfort I suppose.
To know that other creatures
do not sleep like me...
Sometimes...in this late hour
I wish for human contact
But in this deepened state
who would be by my side?
The earwigs..and the snails.. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Thanks for the hug Kateryna..and thanks for the compliment on the poem Jeff. Strange stuff comes out of my head in the wee hours.
Earwigs creep me out..so do centapedes...all other bugs pretty much fascinate me though..well..except for cock roaches.
I got some sort of sleep...
I have a huge pig roast to go to today for my 2 brothers birthday..must make 36 deviled eggs..this is gonna be a carnivores dream feast!..well..except for alll the home brewed beer..but I'm not having any.
I am making birthdays cards out of old kids photos of us..

It was a 150 pound pig..Luckily I showed up as they were pulling the meat. The instructions were to seperate all the fat and crispy skin out..well of course I ate that part..MmMmMMmMmm...and then they threw out the rest of that good stuff..what a waste..oh well..I got my belly full...
I think I need to lay off so much dairy for a bit. Will keep my half and half and home made bleu cheese dressing..but other cheese needs to be put on the back burner for a bit I think...and I need to eat a bit more consistantly..and lay off the frickin booze..I am not so proud of myself as of late...except for the exercise part..that I am doing really well with. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

suppose to get up to 102 this week..will have to ride very early in the morning if I want to get exercise. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Still not very hungry..just been picking at things really..made some hard boiled eggs..hope to eat some of those today..and some cold steak.
May resort to eating butter if I can't get some sort of decent calories down soon.
Having an iced coffee and then I will head out for a ride before it hits 100 degrees here..suppose to be like that all week..ack! _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Rode 25 miles yesterday..probably 12-15 mph..not on a path where I don't have to stop often...I really like this path because it is mostly in the shade..but more people and y0u can't ride as fast.
20 miles this morning in 85 degrees on the fast path...will get up to 103 today (1 hour & 5 minutes) so I am riding on my highest gear at a good clip these days..never out of breath..feeling really strong..
Still not eating very much these days..but trying really hard to get at least 1,000-1,300 calories in.
Dealing with some yellow jacket stings from last night..got tagged 4 times on my hand...keeping the epipen close by...I think I'm ok this time...it's not near my head or heart. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

That is kind of how I was thinking about it..because I feel fine..have plenty of energy..even with all my exercise...it's also really hot here..and I am never hungry in this much heat because I probably drink a gallon of water a day. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Yeah don't worry about calories. If you're not hungry don't eat. I sometimes only get 700 to 900 calories per day. It doesn't happen often but occasionally. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Ok..I won't worry..I know that the food I am eating is nutrient rich real food anyway...and I always get a lot of protein and fat...
I did however get just under 1500 calories today..and lots of fatty chuck steak.
Will try and get up early again and ride if I can ever get to sleep..it got to 105 degrees here today!!
Oh..and Dean..I have been having dreams about licking the icing off of donuts naked...not sure why. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

I realize you still have quite a bit weight to lose, but you are physically fit. Being thin does not make one fit. There are many thin people who could not ride a bike like yOu, or do the pushups that yOu do. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

Oh my..up at 7 am again (this is rare for me)...sucking down a tall cool glass of iced coffee..will go riding again in a few minutes.
My hand is much better today..I got tagged by a jellow jacket on Monday 4 times..I am allergic to bees and it's been horribly swollen and red for 4 days..it is much better now. No fear of going to the ER..was touch and go there for a bit...have been popping benadryl like they are Good and Plenties...may take one more for good measure..
Weather forecast says 90 today..currently 64..sounds like riding weather to me..
I ate well yesterday..almost 1600 calories..will turn the stove top on today and make salmon patties fried in tallow..fish sounds good and I like salmon patties cold with sourceam/gorgonzola/mayo sauce..yum yum.. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

I have discovered that you can get free organic butter if you wear short skirts to the grocery store..
The unsalted pastured OG butter was expired so I asked the dairy manager if I could get it for less...I got it for a whole lot less..he slipped 2 pounds of it into my bike bag..told me he was going to have to donate it to the local food bank anyway...very cool!!!
I think it was instant good kharma because I had just put back 6 packages of cheese that were on sale...that I really did not need.. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Ok..here's the deal. I stepped on my scale today (yes I know I am not suppose to be weighing except once a week on Mondays)..but it's the end of the month and I had hope..
It's not official because I need to have the weight stay off for at least 3 or 4 days..but I am 192 today...that is down 3 pounds..for a total of 5 this month..which is a LOT for me...I'm taking it. I also ate a lot yesterday so this might be real..
So who knows...maybe I will make it to 189 in August..which will put me in the "overweight" category instead of the "obese" one..
Sipping an iced coffee....better head out..RIDE ON!! _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Very Exciting Y0u - here's hoping it stays off.
I've still got 52 pounds until I hit Obese - instead of MORBIDLY Obese...such cheerful terms - haha
And for what it's worth - the last pictures you posted are definitely NOT of an obese woman, but of a very fit woman with a few pounds to lose. |

You will get there with the way you are eating..just like I am..slowly but surely..
And thank you for your kind words..I am much thicker from a side view and my tummy is still saggy and icky...but in 42 more pounds..who knows what can happen right? _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

I posted this in the July challenge ..but wanted it here as well.
July stats...(daily averages)
Calories 1,541
Fat 114.4 gr, 66%
Carbs 23.1, 6%
Protein 102.2, 28%
I rode my bike 320 miles this month, and consistantly lifted weights 3 days a week, went up to 25# dumb bells, and did 100 pushups 3 days a week as well, and I lost weight. (at least 3 pounds..maybe more) I need to wait a few days to see if the scale is lying or not...so for now let's just say I am still 195.
I screwed up a few times with alcohol and a burrito..but my fitness level has been extremely high..I feel really good physically. I definitely see that I am not eating a large amount of calories..but the protein/fat ratios are good. I do not feel deprived. Small amounts of carbs seem to be fine for me.
Got my morning ride in already..and will ride again tomorrow. That will make this weeks ride miles 135!! Not bad for a fat chick!! _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Kateryna..I have to stay at that weight for 3 days before I make it official..as my weight can fluctuate quite a bit...it's just how it is..but thank you for the "pre" celebration..

Sipping on a hot cuppa joe...and getting ready for a bike ride in the nice cool morning breeze.
Stepped on the scale this morning and it reads 193. I had hoped for less but I'll take the 2 pounds down..now it's just 4 pounds away from the "overweight" category...I can do this in August..I know I can...and to be in the 180's..WOW..that will be another mile stone.
Went along for moral support with a friend to the "adult" store last night..she bought her first "toy"...it was really funny. I warned her that the sales clerks always take em out of the packages and put batteries in em in front of everyone to make sure they work..lets just say they did not let her down...then we ran into her x boyfriend on the way home..all very ironic. ..if only he knew what replaced him. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |
