I can't wait to try some mayo recipes. We are 90% moved into our house...missed posting because our internet was off.
I moved all day yesterday and didn't eat on time. But, my one meal was turkey, sauteed and sprinkled with cheddar.
Today steak for lunch, dinner?

It is berry season here!!! and they are free for the picking!! There are blackberries down the alley way..and public marionberries and raspberries on the fence of the community garden I am part of. I picked and froze 3 quarts yesterday, will do the same today.
I stole a few gooseberries and blueberries out of someones garden..shhhh...(it's ok, they are my friend)
Next week or so a friends raineer cheeries will be ready for picking..and she said I can have as many as I want..she gets grocery bags full of them!!...I'll bring her some Marionberries as trade.
Then..I know of a place that has an asian pear grove..on campus..might have to sneak over there one evening around sundown..
Small amounts of fruits and vegetation actually seem to be helping my weight loss, combined with lots of protein and fat. I eat a 1/2 an apple a day..or a 1/2 cup of berries.. Carbs still averaging 20 or so a day total...very much enjoying my garden lettuces and such.
Again not hungry, and only ate one meal last night...we'll see what I eat today..
Tikka chicken thighs
maybe some deviled eggs
apple, walnut, bacon, lettuce salad with dressing
coffee with cream
handful of berries..picked off the vine and greedily devoured..
Exercise, probably not. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

oh wow...
i've not been recording my meals regularly.
forgive me!
friday: meat, water, coffee w/stevia and hwc
saturday: meat, 1 limeade, some water, coffee w/stevia & hwc
weird, i hardly drank any water on saturday.
i usually kill off about 100 oz of water per day.
today will be the same: Sunday:
meat and water, coffee with hwc/stevia
as you can see, i've added back coffee, cream and stevia.
no reason why others can drink it and it not affect them.
so far, no cravings or hindrances
Happy Sunday to all. _________________ "Failure is an opportunity to start again more intelligently." |

Day 28
I am having problems eating enough this week..some days only getting in 1300 calories. (I average 1800 or so) This is not on purpose..just not hungry after work..and it's hard to eat at 11:30 pm...I suppose this is all fine..I will try and eat more today...
Also not thrilled with food available right now. Dad went off to Europe and gave me stuff out of his freezer..Costco salmon patties..which have canola oil and "natural" flavors in them...They are at least wild caught salmon. I don't eat vegetable oils..but I guess I will for the next few weeks...I now have 2 bags of these things...I will fry them in tallow out of protest!!
Predicted food
Chicken salad
salmon patty
burger patty
lettuce and nasturtium blossom salad with dressing.
Exercise, walk.
Dad found a lamb shank in his freezer..it's 18 months old..thoughts? _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

y'know Y0u, it just now occurred to me that when i was young and bartending...
i would get up around noon and then go back into work around 6.
i ate one meal during that time span, everyday.
when i came home in the wee hours, i would just fall into bed.
oh, and i rarely drank.
i was at my thinnest, now that i think about it. (one meal a day)
i bet this is what's going to happen to you now, with your new life schedule.
happy sunday to you! _________________ "Failure is an opportunity to start again more intelligently." |

I think the lamb shank should be fine. I've eaten meat that has been in the freezer longer than that with no problems. In fact, I just ate some pork sausage last week that was in the freezer for well over 2 years. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

I'm with Jeff - I've eaten some really old frozen meat because I hate to throw it away. I've even eaten 2 year old chicken! It affects the flavor a little but I think it's really hard to spoil frozen meat.

i have a large "wad" of fat sitting in my freezer, looking at me every time i open the door....
i think i'm waiting for it to cook itself!
lord knows how long it's been there...
but i figure fat can sit in there until i am reincarnated.... _________________ "Failure is an opportunity to start again more intelligently." |

I ended up throwing the lamb shanks in the crock pot with some newer lamb steaks..they were delicious!! They were also sealed air tight...thanks for the input folks..
Today is a work day..won't get home until after 11pm so I had better eat a big meal some time before I go to work...because I know I won't want to eat after work..will bring a chunk of pemmican in case.
Food
lamb
chicken salad with garden peas and apple
coffee with half and half
pemmican
Exercise..yesterday I ended up going on a good fast paced bike ride and a walk, may lift weights today..but might wait until tomorrow.
Oh...I am in Onederland. 198 pounds for over 3 days now..it's official.
Observation..I lose weight when I don't ADD extra fat to my food..just eat fatty meat...I think I eat about 65% fat..and lots of protein..around 110-125 grams a day...and keep my dairy consumption lower. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |
