Jeff, I'm still dragging much of the day but I have found that I do have sporadic bouts of slightly more energy than usual. I can only hope that this continues to improve and eventually I feel ready to conquer the world
Thanks for checking on me |

I am ok now..thanks everyone.
I went temporarily insane for 2 days....all the vodka is gone..and I only ate 1/2 of the chocolate torte (it was an individual sized one)..the rest is in the freezer..not sure if it stays there or not...I did get quite a sugar rush from it..I was almost hallucinating..tho that could have been the potato vodka I washed it down with too. I don't regret it..
Now I can get back to my regular eating..and neurotic exercise plan to hopefully reach Onederland within 21 days..5 pounds 21 days...who knows..crazier things have happened.
Will have chuck steak, poppers, and bacon and eggs today I think.
No exercise except my walk to work. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

i just got back from the meat market this morning..
i had my butcher ground up half a whole brisket..
the fattiest end.
he asked me if i had seen it done on Bobby Flay's cooking show.
i told him no, i had read it somewhere..
he told me when that show aired on bobby flay, he must have ground 400 lbs of brisket that week..
Larry, over at ZIOH had asked if anyone had done it and then he did it and said it was the best tasting burger he had had...
i'm looking forward to it. _________________ "Failure is an opportunity to start again more intelligently." |

Another week behind us....
Yesterday I had a flat iron steak and then ribs for dinner. I slept like a baby. I have noticed too, that I don't get hungry and have to think about eating to eat. And like Jeff, I can go for a run if I want and I have no recovery issues or soreness the next morning.
Today's choices: soft boiled egg yolks, the rest of my ribs and hmmm I don't know if I'll eat dinner because of a late appointment.
Have a great Friday!

16 hrs between meals.
todays food: 6/12
sausage & cheese fritatta
w/mango salsa & sour cream
limeade
beef
i have strayed here...
because i think i can turn my nose up at cravings?
no... i don't have a good answer.\
last night i was outside with friends and i noticed tons of mosquito's flying around. normally i am the one that they feast on.
my friend got the worst of it, i only got one bite.
that is not how it usually plays out. i'm usually the one that gets thousands of bites and then i get sick.

Lynne, over the years in various forums, I have heard quite a few people say that mosquitos don't bother them as much any more. Seems to be true for me, as well. I have no idea why it is. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

Day 12
It's a work day for me..which means I don't get home until 10:30 pm..I am finding that it's best if I don't eat my first meal until about 1 or 2 pm..and then dinner when I get home. I like to have something already made, as I am on my feet all day and don't usually want to deal with cooking or food preparation.
Salmon patties on a bed of Flashy Trouts Back heirloom lettuce with tarragon mustard sauce.
New York strip
coffee with cream
Exercise, crunches and a walk..work.

helloooooo people who are participating in our june challenge...
this really does help us.
i had 3 meals today.
the first one was a sausage and cheese fritatta.
it did not sustain me like i need.
so i had 6oz of ground beef w/chipotle mayo in mid afternoon
and then dinner at 7pm which was beef cooked quickly in hot tallow in a cast iron fry pan.
now i'm satiated.
eggs do nothing for me. _________________ "Failure is an opportunity to start again more intelligently." |

Day 14
Ok..after my sugar crack fest...there are no more bad things in the house..and my temporary insanity (it lasted a few more days than expected)..I have come back down to earth...I make no apologies..as I am human.
Food
baked chicken hind quarters
steak
coffee and cream
creamed spinach
1/2 apple/walnut/bacon/lettuce salad with dressing.
the rest of the cauliflower soup..finally!
With all this vegetable matter I have been consuming..or so it seems..it's all in small amounts and under 25 total carbs daily..often much less...but it sure feels good to eat stuff out of my garden this summer!!
Exercise, work...crunches. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Day 13:
Went to iHop for breakfast (their menu now clearly states that they add pancake batter to omelet's) so I requested an eggs only omelet with bacon and cheese (told them I was horribly allergic to wheat) and they complied but used some kind of cheese sauce? Blech... First eggs I've had in over a month - no effects from it.
So...eats were:
Eggs, bacon and processed cheese goop
Beef Spareribs
Small chunk of Muenster cheese |

Sorry to miss posting...I'm in the process of moving my house. I love the salmon patty picture!
I've also, had fewer bug bites and I live in Florida. You know bug-bite central?
Today I have eggs and chicken.
My workout yesterday consisted of squats, lunges and a short sprint...alternating these three for about 40 minutes total with walk cool down.
No weight change but my pants are very loose this a.m. so I am stoked.
Good day to all,

I've been thinking about making bacon mayonnaise but I wonder how it compares to Hellman's. How would you describe the flavor/texture? |
I thought anything with bacon tasted good _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Well bacon is definitely king in my house but I was always very picky about Mayo (but I also really miss it). I could never eat anything but Hellman's and tried the Olive Oil version once - yuck.
Day 17:
Eggs, Cheese, Bacon
Wings
Ribeye |

i was a big hellman's fan too, until i began making my own.
i didn't make mayo out of bacon grease..
i made a regular homemade mayonnaise and then put in 1T bacon crumbles. i also had minced 1/2 clove of fresh garlic..
it was to die for. _________________ "Failure is an opportunity to start again more intelligently." |
