Hey Willeke, it's important to be accountable, and having to record your daily food intake keeps you accountable.  otherwise, i think you would have a tendency to stray...

kind of like a schedule..  keeping on a schedule keeps us from falling too hard.

and Y0u and i are anal enough to keep  one another accountable.. lololol

which leads me to this post..
i went to an old movie tonight.

went to see "M," with Peter Lorrie-filmed in Germany in 1931, the first serial killer movie ever filmed. had english subtitles, and the lady put out candy on all the little tables next to all the chairs...
so needless to say, i plowed through the candy.
i have no idea why i did it....  i have absolutely no farking dicipline.

oh the movie was excellent!  very well filmed, acted, the props, the set, the camera angles.... amazing how modern they were in 1931.
story moved right along.
and men's clothing really hasn't changed much in 80 years, except maybe the width of the lapels, but really...

the lighting was awesome.
and i looked at the set, the upholstery on the furniture, the clothing on the people, the cabinets, furniture, lamps, windows.....the detail was fabulous...
i can't believe that good movies were made in the 30's!!!

Glad it was as good as the candy!!!  Yes, movies back then were well done!  No I wasn't around for another decade, but they still are around on some of the old channels, and I remember going to the "movies" on Saturday morning, cost 25 cents!!

Today:

Bacon
Chicken
Piece of Lobster, 4 Shrimp, 4 Scallops (piddly disappointing portion at a high cost seafood restaurant. When they don't have the rice, veggies and Potato to fill up the plate there's hardly any 'seafood' left. Even the hubby was shocked)

Oh I see... well, I'm weird, I do better if I don't feel accountable to anybody but myself, and also anal, because when I don't want to stray I don't stary, because I know that with every carb I eat, I would be digging the next hole to fall in again.. and again... and again... been there. done that, just like cigarettes.

When I had lost all that weight in 2006, I just had trouble to really really understand that cream and cheese are also bad for me, will also give me cravings, very gradually and insidiously, so I won't have them anymore until I am at my target weight, whatever that may be, and even then I'd only have them very very rarely, on my birthday or something!

I really truly see sugar as poison, and even feel I have to wash my hands when I've touched it. I do know that's weird, but I don't care, I want to get healthy and get a healthy weight again.

I am hoping that this month will finally see the scales moving again so I thought it's nice to have my food recorded here so I can see if the results come up to my expectations!

Just explaining <g>

and Willeke,
I think of bread as poison. I feel like I have to wash the poison mold spores off my hands.
Now I think of sugar like that too since you mentioned.
Oh, and I believe I'm allergic to carbs. I get itchy, bloat, feel sick.

Any loss is a cause for celebration Willeke.  Clap  My loss was initial loss and I think it will slow down considerably from now on.

Today's menu: rib steak, egg, corned beef, mozza cheese, coffee cream

I can't see anything wrong with loading up the seafood chowder with a ton seafood and a tiny bit of butter and cream. That wouldn't make it too thin  Grin

I make mine with a small amount of cauliflower, onions, and celery..lots of salmon, clams and thyme, butter and cream, bacon grease and fish stock.  It comes out to 10 carbs for a huge  bowl..but if you leave out all the veggies it would be just fine for you ZCers..  I never made the thickened type chowder anyway..
