I didn't know that chickens had fingers.....but I bet a salad made out of greeks was pretty tough and stringy.
It all sounds pretty low carb anyway..I wouldn't beat myself up over it. _________________ Flap-a-doodle-kick-a-poodle-kitty-kitty-cow-cow ~ Fat Freddy's Cat |

Today's eats:
Leftover ribeye steak
4 egg yolks (I fried 4 eggs in bacon grease, until the whites were firm but the yolks really runny, put them on a place, and ate the gooey egg yolk with a spoon. The whites seem to be giving me stomach pains so I avoid them).
Pemmican (I made another batch because I was craving it really bad). |

Ok..the antelope was AMAZING!! Not gamey at all..succulent, juicy, tasty, tender and delicious!! I pan fried it in tallow on med low after marinating it over night..sooooooooooo good!!

I just coursly ground walnuts in the blender and added stevia to taste and butter and cinnamon and 1 TBS of some LC bake mix I had..you can omit that and I think it would be ok. Just press that mixture into your ramikins and bake at 400 until brown. I just cooked fruit down with more cinnamon and stevia..and when it was cool..I spooned it into the cooled tart shells...I am guessing 4 oz of walnuts and a few tbs of butter? pinch of salt...that made 3 individual tarts. It may be helpful to chill the shells before you bake them if your "dough" is not cooperating.
I don't really use recipes..sorry.

Kate, I've heard that Trick and Treat is very similar to GCBC, but a much easier read. Would you describe it that way? _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

Yes Jeff, it's a cake walk compared to GCBC. Barry uses footnotes which you can refer to only if you want to. He doesn't go into the details like Taubes does. Since I've done so much reading on the subject, I'm familiar with a lot of what Barry is talking about. However, there is a ton of information he provides that I didn't know so I'm really enjoying it. The first 75 pages or so were a little tedious but once into the book it becomes a lot more interesting. I definitely recommend this book to everyone. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

YAY, I should be able to say this in a few days. Thanks for the recipe, I will make it when I loose more weight.
I am tittering on the border of "no longer obese" on my Fitday.
Food Day 21:
Roast beef
beef patty with cheese
Coffee/hc
tea _________________ http://www.fitday.com/fitness/Pub...urnals.html?Owner=surfergirlpuppy

black coffee
1/2 of a small ribeye steak
Just the beef off of an Arby's roast beef sandwich (on the road)
pemmican
prime rib (they had it at a local upscale grocery store carving table, I guess they have it every Saturday from 12pm to 6pm) :)
I'll probably have a few soft cooked egg yolks before I go to bed, i'm a little hungry
I loved Barry Groves one book, Eat Fat, Get Thin. I haven't read his new one yet. I also have a DVD and small cookbook from him that I bought a few years ago. |

Day 22
Food
roasted chicken with gorgonzola sauce
swiss cheese
2 carrots from my garden
duck and chicken eggs and sausage
peach/cherry tart with walnut crust
iced coffee with half and half
Exercise, 20 mile bike ride, work. That makes 110 miles this week
It's been a good week..I've lost some weight....but it's probably all from the peeling skin from my sunburn..
Tried to get more duck eggs at the local farmers market..none to be had. But I did get this......I am gonna grow me some oyster mushrooms in my house on top of the frig..
