Hey Billi-Jean,
What does a carnivore food pyramid look like? Raw slabs of super fatty meat at the bottom? Occasional raw dairy at the top? Eggs in the middle?

sounds like you've got it pretty much nailed, Sol! Can you imagine me giving that to my future clients?
Oh, and yeah, I agree about Sol's avatar, Dean! It's kinda mesmerising...I suddenly realise I've been staring at it go side to side, side to side, side to... |

Morning mina!!
It's mid-autumn here and winter is fast approaching!
Yik, I strongly disapprove of winter, it's far too rude and abrasive for me.
Plus I've never liked wearing layers and layers of clothes, I get all claustrophobic and irritated being wrapped up to the eyeballs -turtlenecks are the worst, argh, they make me feel like I'm being strangled. As a kid I was forever getting in trouble for pulling off various items of clothing and trying to run around with nothing on! |

When I was about 8 years old we lived in Croydon, Victoria (Maroondah Highway). Winter in Australia is nothing; try a Swiss winter then you have what winter is or can be like .

brrr...um, somehow I think I'll pass, Nicola!
What can I say, I was born on a beach in a little Greek village and I think I'll always miss that climate.
We did move to Vancouver when I was eight or so and lived there for about 4 years, but central heating was the norm there so you could still wear just a t-shirt inside. That made it easy to 'forget' how cold it was outside. Here, most homes don't come with central heating but rather usually have just a pissy little heater in the living room, so you're always *aware* of how cold it is, even though compared to some places, I know, it's gets nowhere near as cold as they do. |

Billi-Jean,
You could always add a whole lot of grains to your diet. You'd become fat like a grain-fed cow; I don't think grain-fed cows need even "pissy little heaters."
You're welcome! Glad I could help.

oooh, I just wanna squish these little guys, they're sooo cute!!
...well, I've got a massive headache -it's about 19 hours now with no coffee...sigh...I feel really odd; grumpy and with a weird detached feeling in my brain that is unlike normal brain-fog but with certain similarities. A bit depressed too, like I'm just looking for a reason to cry
This is NOT FUN!!! |

You live in Australia; perhaps Ionlife will ofer you a alkaline water ionizer for try-out? I could use my Aquarius for 3 months (it was like new but had been used a few times on an exhibition so it was 1/3 of the normal price) and then pay or give it back.
Well it has helped me a lot and I wouldn't want to do with out my magic box .

Well, I just want to report that after last night's 'indiscretions' I am once again reminded just how bad 'normal' eating is, and what it does to your system.
After about 3 weeks of carnivorous eating I thought I'd cope a lot better than I did eating Thai food and having some wine last night! AGH! How quickly we forget just how crap we used to feel all the time.
Today I feel like I've been hit by a truck. It makes me so sad that I have blown 3 weeks of hard work. I fought so hard to get my 5 points each day for the April Challenge, and I was so proud of myself, especially in light of the fact that I usually don't handle the 'pressure' I put on myself very well.
I now feel like I'm at the foot of a huge mountain that I have to climb again.
And when I think back on what I ate and drank...well, it was certainly not worth it! It never is, is it? Nothing tastes good enough to be worth the aftermath...
That's what's so insidious about carbs...that even though I know the taste will never be as good as the promise of the taste is, sometimes they just reel you in, just like a drug. |

Boy, I just read my post...it's um, somewhat depressing, no?
Sorry, everyone! Forgive my being on a bit of a downer!
I will of course have some serious words with myself this evening, break up the pity party, pull up the britches and be roaring (ahem, I mean raring ) to go on the morrow! |

BJ, I'm not laughing at you, just that kitten!
I hope you are back on track. My suggestion, as always, is to eat boat loads of animal fat! You'll feel much better, trust me. _________________ When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.
