As Heather said, that's a mighty fine effort! Lovely location too, by the looks of it. The lifeguards must have been on piggyback duty.

What was up with that wind last week?  Wednesday I couldn't even be on the beach without getting sandblasted.  Had to spend the day at the pool instead.  Sunny

Great job on the run.

Well I am up to 4.6 miles running at a time.  Lost 20lbs and feel good.  When off the path for a while lost the weight but I feel I need to lower my carbs again as the cravings are coming back.  May not be as extreme as I was and I need to watch my calories and eat during the day and not IF as that did not work for me! Great job, Rich.  Do you have any goals for your running?  Like to be able to run x number of miles, or run several miles at x minutes per mile?

sounds like youre doing some great stuff, rich  Yup

I was doing Hal Higdon's Spring Training last year. Do you know who he is? It's a great program and has you go from like 1 mile to 6 miles running in 12 weeks. it's for beginners, but I got alot out of it.

http://www.halhigdon.com/spring/Springnovice.htm

Im more of a speed walking/mountain biking/hiking girl with a bit of basketball and volleyball mixed in  Heart  but I would love to do a marathon or something one day

anyways.. hope you have a super great day!  Sunny

I only run outside twice a week one long run on Saturdays and a shorter on  Tuesdays (bout 2miles)

Being a bigger person (235lbs looking to get to 220) thats enough, I also do weights and Kung Fu so I keep busy.

It seems the low carbing is really kicking in as hunger is disappearing.

Mina, I use to play basketball all the time in school.

everybody was kung fu fighting!

very cool.

my lifting involves little turquoise handweights.. im a lightweight hehe.. although I do use some real weights for some exercises.

I really need to get more muscles in my shoulders and arms.. I think that would help alleviate some of the tension and pains I get in my neck/upper back at the end of the day  Yup

I havent played ball since last year.. but ive been out of school a while  Wink theres a few places to play one on one around here.

anyways, richie rich, have a great day! feel free to drop by my journal  Smile

I did it and it was way better and easier than I thought. I probably should not be so negative, it's like you all know me better than I do. I even slowed down to stay with my daughter, I kept telling her, "We have to keep moving." So I kept her walking, I was sometimes holding her hand as well, like pulling her, poor thing....  LOL She has never run that far before so I was super proud and impressed and slightly shocked that she finished and with a good time.

Great job on the 6.1 miles. It is 9.8 km so you're are right there at he 10 km distance.
