Well, I'm done for the day as well. 
Last night, before midnight, I cleared out my kitchen of anything that was not legal for this Contest. There wasn't much there, but it's gone now. I don't plan on ever goin' back to non-animal food. This February Contest is just gonna help me kick off this new WOE. Aside from coffee and seasonings, I'm gonna stick exclusively to animal food, especially high animal fat. Just how much I'll tapper off the dairy in the future will depend on the pressure I get from the Wisconsin legislature. After all, I have relocated our entire company to their state!

I am going to have Sky vodka and sugar-free cheese cake. I will still be low carb, but I know some veggies and nuts may be eaten. Jicama is kind of my failsafe to make sure I don't eat chips. They taste so good with Queso dip :D

Yesterday I went along with the resident sickly DH  and had salad with my pile o' wings and hot sauce, at dinnertime.
Friday it was a nice filling rare t-bone for dinner, homemade meatloaf (turkey/beef) patty with mustard on a revolution roll for lunch, a big 'un, some creamy havarti snacks, and a trio of veggie fed eggs with some shredded goat's cheese mozzarella over the top for brekkie. Plenty of good fats built in. Felt a flash of ketosis, but so very brief. 
Do you think it's possible to so totally acclimatize to the VLC life that there's no effect on the glucagon feedback loop?  Geez...I may shoot myself 
Today's looking good but is not over and the DH is still hanging about...another trio of eggs today, poached (love 'em that way) with some havarti, on a big ol' revolution roll. Whipping up some more revolution rolls (eggs, cream cheese) for the start of the week and to take along to make bunless burgering more cleanly and more fun...

Jude, what does a flash of ketosis feel like?
How do you make your Revolution Rolls? I use the 1egg:1ozcreamcheese ratio that they're calling Revol-oopsie Rolls at LCF. I understand the old school way uses half the cream cheese. Also, I never put in the Splenda that I read about in the recipes.

I had mine well done with a cup o' Joe and lots of cream. I am not yet a carnivore - 6 more days of wheaty gluttony to go... followed by days of cravings as I get back on the bus. I'm thinking ahead though - I bought meat today and lots of it. I even saw a pre-cooked duck in the freezer section. It's been 20 years or more since I had duck and I thought I would treat myself.

Hey, there, Vesna! Yes, I'm using the RevAloopsie roll method and I don't add the sweetener (unless I'm making something sweet in particular, which is of course not now  in the middle of Carnivorous February !). I was having fun playing with them, but it's time to put aside childish things...
As for the flash of ketosis, well, I'm told I'm an odd one and often feel things many others don't, so I don't know if this would be the same for anyone else...but for me, it's mostly a hot sensation, especially in the face, and I actually pink up a bit. Seems to be some hormonal connection as well, probably in that thyroid/estrogen loop that's related to hot flashes (geez, don't remind me) and other estrogen spike phenomena...

Or it could be due to that new batch of Shawn's finest that's been floatin' around the Bus lately.

How come all of sudden, after joining this challenge, I want broccoli and asparagus? I always eat this way, but just as soon as I'm told I can't, I want it. It's the rebellious kid in me. But have no fear...as if you would...when I sign up I stick with it to the bitter end. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!

Yesterday I had 20 hot wings and then a pork chop. This morning I weighed myself. I usually only weigh about once a month but I was curious. The last time I weighed was Jan 22. This morning, I am down at least 2.6 pounds from that 1/22 weight. The reason I say at least is because from 1/22 until 1/31, I was totally off the bus and big time so I am sure that I had put on more weight since then. From Dec 22 to Jan 22 I had put on 2.6 pounds as I was only only on plan for 1 week out of that month. When I am off plan, I eat things like candy, chocolate, pastries, bread, etc. So now, I am back to my lowest weight since starting this low carb woe again.

I don't think I've ever eaten this much cheese and/or cream in my life. I know it's just me being nibblish from not smoking (thank god I'm eating NC for Feb!) My calories today were somewhere around 2600, mostly fat.
Veal chop, garlic, ginger, butter, havarti, old cheddar, mozarella, tea with cream, latte with cream, steak, blue cheese, butter, mineral water. And I could keep on eatin'.
