I agree with Kateryna...your body will do what it wants to..when it wants to..if you treat it well.

Another drop of one pound.
Yes some of us are losing. And all I did was eliminate my cheese this week and I really don't miss it. I'm eating very well. Yesterday I thought maybe I'd go shopping and eat out but when I thought about the pork shoulder waiting for me at home I went directly home from work lol. I'm not even tempted by dining out. What a transformation this has been so far. I'm so fricken happy
The office staff are dressing up at doctors, nurses and patients. I'm going as a patient in a huge wig with pigtails and pink streaks in it with bandaids hanging off my body and gown. It's going to be a hoot.
My halloween treats for my co-workers will be coloured shimmer pens _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Wt today: 195.4
Dropped 4.8 pounds in October. I'm surprised it was that much. I knew I was losing slowly but I'm happy with this result. Total weight loss since going Carnivore is: 31.6
Going out for breakfast with my friends and then picking up meat I ordered at a free range reared butcher shop. Hope there is enough fat in their meat. I'll see.
I'm planning to make beanless chili in the crockpot today and chicken wings tomorrow maybe. That should give me a few days worth of meals.
No Halloween temptations at work even though I was surrounded by candy and chocolate. I look at that stuff and it's no longer food in my eyes. I dressed up as a patient this year, next year I plan to go as Lara Croft lol.
No temptations or cravings. Moods are great. Health is fabulous. I feel very young. Woo hoo. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Kate, great job on losing almost 5 pounds in October! Isn't it amazing to be able to lose weight and be completely satisfied with what you eat and how much you eat? I think of all those poor people that starve themselves, with almost all of them destined for failure. _________________ Eat, Drink and Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Die |

Yes Jeff it's wonderful losing and not being hungry. Also no exercising, no calorie counting, no portion control, no eating in moderation _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Ok here are the results of my experimentation with ground meats. Made the taco meat in the crockpot yesterday and severe bloating both yesterday and today after eating it.
I'm just not a ground meat person. I think I'll stick to body parts I can recognize once I'm done with the rest of this.
The chicken wings were great. I deep fried them (in lard lol) and only lightly salted them. I don't like dipping sauces on any of my meat so they were absolutely fabulous. The butcher shop sells free range chicken and the wings were already cut up for me. I died and went to heaven eating them. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

On a certain board that shall remain nameless, you are told "do as I say and don't obsess." Well isn't that just grand since I have never in my life followed this advice. If I had followed the advice of my doctor I would be dead right now. Yes folks, dead. So why would I listen to others without acting on my own judgement and experiences?
Some people may call it obsession, but I call it curiosity. Since I am a living, breathing, thinking entity, I would like to formulte my own opinions on how I am feeling and reacting to a combination of certain stimuli, in this case: food.
So, if this so-called obsessive behaviour means that I count percentages, calories, pounds, then so be it. If it helps to keep me accountable and sustainable, then so be it.
Freedom is a great concept and I'm basking in it. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

Well it's been 5 months carnivore eating. I'm up a bit from my all time low at 197.8 pounds today. I've been struggling for the last 12 days or so ever since I had that chili. I threw it all out but I've been hungrier than usual lately. Still no cheats though, thank god. So a total loss of 29.2 pounds in 5 months. I'm still very upbeat and happy. Joints are singing and no migraines. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

So happy to hear you doing so well! And sorry about that chili not working so well for you. We are all different. I would love some of yOu's chili right now.
Katie you are such an inspiration. I want you to know how important you are to me by your example, and I am trying to be the angel that you are. No cheats for me lately.
You are getting to goal quickly and look great!

Ok guys, I've been a very bad girl and have since learned that I can't have sour cream on my all meat chili. Seems it has MSG in it and I'm very sensitive to additives.
If I could stick to just beef and water I'd be ok but I can't stand beef. So back to just eating pork, fish, chicken and some cream and coffee.
No more experimentation with even carnivorous foods. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

I bought the cheapest brand with 12 thousand ingredients in it. Serves me right.
Well I've been sick with a cold all weekend. The bad news was that I was really sick. The good news is that it didn't go into my lungs and NO COUGH. As of right now, I'm feeling much better.
I attribute this to my way of eating. 2 solid days of really bad cold and then feeling much better. I can even contemplate going to work tomorrow. I'm not 100% but I'm like 90% better after 2 days. It's amazing. Keeping fingers crossed that it won't enter lungs. Of course I've been gargling with salt water and putting hydrogen peroxide in all my bodily orifices lmao and drinking a lot of water and tea with lemon.
And I'm eating on track. No more sauces, dressings, cheeses. It will be:
1. a recognizable body part: pork chop, shoulder, egg, chicken wing, salmon fillet
2. head cheese (a must)
3. coffee with cream that contains no additives (a must)
4. Bacon, every once in a while, especially when I make chicken livers
5. Butter, CO and some lard
That's what worked for me before this fiasco and that's what I'm sticking to now. No more new-fangled recipes. No eating of meat whose smell makes me gag (beef, especially ground beef). I am, once again, going to listen to my body.
So, end of rant, and I feel so much better. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)

So I went to work today and they sent me home saying I was too sick to be at work and not to come back until at least Thursday, longer if necessary. Who am I to complain
It's the asthma, making anything seem worse than it really is.
November has been a bad month for me. It started really well and I'm striving to get to how I felt on November 1st again. I'm just glad I didn't fall completely off the wagon. Almost down to what I weighed on Nov. 1st.

Hope you feel better soon.
You are going to weigh less, this is just a minor setback that yOu, some other forum folks, and I went through too. I was so sick (respiratory bug, cold, and flu?)I thought I may have to see a doctor. yOu had to get a z-pak, and I should have. I was off a few days of work from the law office and did some work from home.
Then one day it just went away mysteriously and I feel like a million. During my illness I snacked on a couple no-nos as reflected in the challenge. But after I immediately went back into ketosis. My weight loss had stalled, but is now trickling down again. I don't think many of us will lose much weight this month, but at least we all got that bug out of the way.
Katie...tomorrow is our Thanksgiving here in the United States, and I will be eating, drinking then. Like a one day only sale. _________________ http://www.fitday.com/fitness/Pub...urnals.html?Owner=surfergirlpuppy

thanks Surfergirl. I know I'm a little depressed due to illness but eventually it will all pass and things will go back to normal.
Today I plan to eat chicken wings, eggs, bacon, coffee, cream, lard, butter. _________________ Carnivore (Jun 12/09) 227/196.2/137 Max. wt: 247 (Jul-08)
