Nutrition, health, and exercise forum for a carnivorous way of eating
The Bus is about carnivorous eating, which is eating our natural diet of animal food. We evolved for a very long time eating only animal food. Basically, everything else in our modern diet is suspect. We hunted our food for millions of years, and did not start gathering or farming till very recently. We have not had time to fully adapt to non-animal food. By avoiding food which causes us problems, our bodies have a chance to heal and be normal.
While we all recognize animal food as being essential to our health, each of us must figure out what non-animal food we can handle or may need. Instead of figuring out which food to eliminate from our diets to achieve good health, we are simply figuring out what modern food we can add to our natural diet of animal food. It's looking through the looking glass from the other side.
While the Bus is about achieving optimal health through a paleolithic paradigm in nutrition and lifestyle, it is not about becoming obsessed with eating nor trying to be "perfect" with our health. That type of thinking leads to psychological problems which are NOT healthy at all. Rather, the Bus is a supportive community that encourages experimentation to find what works best for each of us. Eating carnivorously does not have to be boring drudgery. Finding a way to take care of our social, psychological, as well as biological needs is the trip we are on.

“Cheshire Puss,” she began, rather timidly, as she did not at all know whether it would like the name; however, it only grinned a little wider. “Come, it’s pleased so far,” thought Alice, and she went on. “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—“ said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“—so long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”
Alice felt that this could not be denied, so she tried another question. “What sort of people live about here?”
“In that direction,” the Cat said, waving its paw round, “lives a Hatter; and in that direction,” waving the other paw, “lives a March Hare. Visit either you like; they’re both mad.”
“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat; “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”
